Meet the stars with the Y-Factor.
Is anything more important than recruiting and retaining talent? The right hire inspires others to achieve. A wrong decision can stifle progress. And the distance between the two is often paper-thin. Or rather, yocto-thin. Yocto, the smallest known measurement of length, is symbolic of all the little things we do that, when added together, make a huge impact. And along with Manchester United, Yocto is his passion. Whether building big-picture talent solutions that hire thousands or niche strategies to find the ‘needle in a haystack’, Jon loves the challenge of recruitment. He works with a great team who, from talent acquisition to onboarding, focus on marginal gains. In themselves they’re small details, but collectively, they’re the difference between success and failure.
Client Relationship Director
A few of James’ favourite things:
Listening, learning and sharing.
Working with amazing people – I’m lucky enough to have worked with many of the best in amazing organisations.
Bringing ideas to life – to attract the very best talent.
Making sure the right people are talking to each other – fulfilling your potential in a challenging market.
The diversity of recruitment, and the challenge that brings.
Variety – there’s no off the shelf blueprint that works for everyone.
Tailoring to you and your business needs.
Michael Hutchence – I had the honour of booking his driving lessons in my first ever job.
Business Director – Entry Level Talent
Jayne is our Subject matter expert in all things Entry Level Talent. Her passion for making a difference in this market is palpable and her standalone specialist team is very proud to be true market leaders in their space.
Jayne has over 22 years experience in graduate recruitment since starting her career with Hobsons (now TargetJobs), an educational publisher in the school leaver and graduate markets, both in the UK and overseas. She joined ThirtyThree in 2004 to set up the Graduate Communications business from scratch – developing new business, new products and processes. Since joining TMP in 2007, a diverse range of clients such as the NHS, BT, KPMG and the Civil Service (Fast Stream) have benefitted from Jayne’s strategic consultancy, covering marketing, attraction, recruitment and Entry Level Talent selection. Similarly diverse is Jayne’s wedding playlist, taking in Ray Charles, Guns n’ Roses and Billy Idol – because what wedding would be complete without him.
Head of Senior, Specialist and Professional Resourcing
Simon’s team of professional recruiters is responsible for delivering an end-to-end passive recruitment solution for TMP clients. Simon has over 30 years recruitment experience, and a solid foundation in HR management. For the last 15 years he has specialised in RPO and in-house recruitment. Prior to working for TMP, Simon was an Account Director at The Right Thing, Interim Head of Operations at Kenexa, Head of Consulting at Hyphen, and a Subject Matter Expert at Accenture HR Services. Just as impressively, his sister married David Beckham’s second cousin. David, of course, turned up at the ceremony, inconsiderately stealing the bride’s limelight.
Client Relationship Director
RPO based on true partnership and a genuine understanding of your business: that’s the Yocto difference. We aren’t corporate and we won’t try and impose a model on you for our convenience. It’s about what’s best for you. We invest time in understanding your needs and she’s passionate about spending time with clients, listening and understanding to build up a picture of their business. It’s often the smallest details, gathered over a coffee that can make the biggest impact. As for Emma’s other passions, did we mention coffee?
Director of Resourcing Operations
Angela set up our recruitment delivery centre in Bristol, where she acquired a keen respect for the little things. Today she heads up volume recruitment and assessment and the Shared Service team that implements new Yocto solutions. She is responsible for service delivery in line with our clients’ Service Level Agreements and works closely with our Client Service Directors. Previously Angela worked for The AA, Capita, NTL, BT and Marks and Spencer in a broad range of operational roles. And our Angela is multi-talented. She was both happy and traumatised recently when invited to play for the Somerset mixed veterans tennis team. While it’s a privilege to represent the county, qualifying for the veterans at the tender age of 43 was something of a shock.
Head of Creative
Whether it’s a single communication or a global employer brand, Al’s focus is on delivering results. He will be guardian of your brand, ensuring that all communications do justice to your organisation and goals. He’ll also be your provocateur, pushing creativity to engage the audiences that matter. And if lead type’s your thing, you might like to know that Al’s the proud owner of a garageful.
